Group A: Chef Brad of Two Roads Tavern: New Orleans shrimp served with a honey corn bread and topped with a PBR spiced butter sauce

Group B: Chef Mike of Mama Kwan’s Tiki Bar and Grill: Hot honey shrimp over a cheddar cheese grit cake with spicy cucumbers and a garlic aioli

The 12th Annual Outer Banks Shrimp Crawl will be held over the weekend of November 6th-7th throughout the Outer Banks to benefit the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research! Local chefs will compete to prepare the best shrimp dish appetizer. Take the weekend to visit up to 5 restaurants and vote for your favorite shrimp. The event will also feature a virtual silent auction with donations from local businesses.

Silent auction is now open through 8 pm Sunday November 7th!

Chef Brad of Two Roads Tavern

Chefs Mike and Schindle of Sandtrap Tavern (no Saturday dinner)- Shrimp Tapas: Corn and Shrimp Pot Pie (purple corn, shrimp, potatoes in a chowder reduction nestled inside a phyllo cup), Hot Honey Garlic Bacon Wrapped Shrimp over an Asian coleslaw finished with a citrus chili sauce, and Shrimp and Smoked Salmon Wellington (Spinach, bacon, and homemade cream cheese spread, smoked salmon and shrimp rolled in a flakey pastry roll topped with bernaise sauce

Chef John of Shipwreck’s Tap House and Grill- Smoked shrimp wonton paired with a fresh Thai salad

Chef Matt of Bad Bean Baja Grill (Saturday only, after 1 pm)-Butternut squash and shrimp tamale, shrimp and apple salad with smoked jalapeno dressing and toasted pumpkin seeds

Chef Alex of Mahi Mahi’s Island Grill (dinner only)- Shrimp and tostones stack: Fresh local shrimp, yuca root puree, crispy plantain tostones, savory shrimp mariscada (stewed shrimp), pork chicharron, radish and cilantro, citrus chile piquin and cucumber relish

Chef Susan of Basnight’s Lone Cedar Cafe- (dinner only) -Shrimp tacos: Housemade tortillas filled with sauteed shrimp, chipotle slaw, Pico de Gallo, and lime crema
